Pelaksanaan 5S telah di isytiharkan berkuatkuasa oleh Y.Bhg. Dato' Hj. Arifin bin Awang, Pengarah PTG Pulau Pinang untuk dilaksanakan di Pejabat Pengarah Tanah & Galian Pulau Pinang (PTGPP) bermula tanggal 27 April 2011 bersamaan hari Rabu, 23 Jamadilawal 1432 Hijrah.

Satu taklimat berkenaan 5S untuk PTGPP telah pun dilaksanakan di Auditorium F, Tingkat 5, KOMTAR pada 27 April 2011 sebagai sesi 'knowledge sharing' dan berkongsi pengalaman.

PERISTIWA 5S PTGPP

brown_list_icon 10.08.2011 - Mesyuarat Pengurusan PTG memaklumkan bahawa Bahagian Kualiti (Bahagian Audit Pengurusan) akan menguruskan pelaksanaan 5S di PTG dan tarikh auditan ditangguhkan daripada September 2011 kepada hujung tahun. Wakil daripada Malaysian Productivity Centre (MPC) akan dijemput untuk sesi auditan tersebut. Tindakan: Bahagian Kualiti

brown_list_icon16.06.2011 -Cik Intan di Bahagian Khidmat Pengurusan PTGPP mendapatkan maklumat lanjut berkenaan perbezaan 5S dan 8S yang dilaksanakan di PSUKPP. PSUKPP memaklumkan bahawa 5S adalah tetap dan wajib (lebih-lebih lagi untuk persijilan) manakala 8S tersebut pula adalah amalan dalam 5S yang di gunakan untuk berinteraksi dengan pelanggan-pelanggan PSUKPP.
23.05.2011 - Di dalam Mesyuarat Pengurusan PTGPP, Y. Bhg. Dato' telah menetapkan satu hari dalam seminggu iaitu hari Jumaat, 4 - 5 petang sebagai hari untuk melaksanakan 5S di PTGPP. (English Class pada kumpulan yang terlibat berjalan seperti biasa).

29 April 2011 - Satu ruangan dan pautan berkenaan perlaksanaan 5S di PTGPP telah disediakan di Portal Rasmi PTGPP.
27 April 2011 - Satu Mesyuarat Penyelarasan 5S di PTGPP telah diadakan pada petang 27 April 2011 di Bilik Mesyuarat Utama PTGPP untuk membincang dan menyelaraskan pelaksanaan 5S di PTGPP. Mesyuarat dihadiri oleh ketua-ketua/wakil bahagian, Timb. Pengarah PTG(P) dan di pengerusikan oleh Y.Bhg. Dato' Pengarah PTGPP. Mesyuarat bersetuju untuk tambahan 3S lagi menjadi 8S sebagai amalan berterusan dalam 5S iaitu Siap Siaga, Semangat & Sabar. Y.Bhg Dato' Pengerusi juga telah melantik ketua-ketua zon dan juga En Norhardi b. Sabri sebagai Penyelaras 5S PTGPP.
27 April 2011 - Mesyuarat juga memutuskan untuk melaksanakan pertandingan 5S antara zon bermula dengan Gotong Royong Perdana PTGPP pada 29 April 2011 sehingga 26 Ogos 2011.

Management Audit

Function

  • Review systems, procedures and administrative operations of land for determining internal controls are adequate, effective, economical and suitable. Ensure compliance with the land administration laws, regulations, directives and policies in force.
  • Inform the Director of Lands and Mines Penang through observation and independent audit reports, objective and timely information on the operation of land administration.
  • Submit observations and audit reports to the Audit Unit, Office of the Secretary to the Government of Penang.
  • Submit Monitor and inspect, audit observations and reports generated by the Audit Department, the Internal Audit Unit Penang State Secretary Office and Audit Section at the Department of Management & Monitoring Director General of Lands and Mines (JKPTG).
  • Submit Annual Audit Report on the Internal Audit Unit Penang State Secretary Office and Audit Management & Monitoring Section, Department of Lands and Mines (JKPTG).

Introduction of Revenue Division

The Revenue Division is responsible for the collection and increase revenue of state income. 
Apart from that, this division also serves to maximize land revenue and minimize outstanding arrears
to ensure the rapid conomic development of the State of Penangas well as the well-being of its people.

Objectives
  • To collect all state government, federal government receivables and deposits from the public with efficiency and accountability.
  • To maximize revenue and minimize outstanding arrears.
  • To ensure that all the collection of public funds is done in accordance with the procedure and circular that have been assigned.

Key Functions

  • Coordinate the collection of revenue with an efficient and effective manner
  • Coordinate the monthly report of revenue collection for the State of Penang
  • Raising awareness and sense of responsibility of land owners to pay the quit rent.
  • To ensure that all district send quit rent bills on stipulated time
  • Monitors the outstanding arrears of revenue
